Personally I'm using CiperShed to create encrypted disk, and place it in the shared Dropbox folder. Basically you can use any encrypted disk software, but I strongly recommend to use Dropbox, it is the only cloud software which can upload only modified file fragments, which makes it really fast and saves traffic, which is especially important if you have huge data volume.

Vlad: Thanks. Only talking about backup for main database.

Found this link about using an encrypted Window 10 virtual encrypted drive for cloud backup.

Assigned a password but needs beefing up to more than 13 characters. 15-20 seems to fall with in the range that most folks suggest. I can go longer; KeePass goes up to 56 characters.

Seems a reasonable method to me.

In a post from 2015 you suggested, I think, something like this approach and described your method for backing up.

Re: Backup on a Cloud Drive
Sure, you can configure auto-backup feature to save backups into a cloud drive folder.

But rather than backup backups I'd recommend to backup main data file, it would be more efficient and even much faster, particularly, the Dropbox service is pretty smart, it can upload only modified file pieces, so, no matter how big is your data file, it will upload it to the cloud almost instantly. We have detailed guidelines here - https://www.vladonai.com/allmynotes-organizer-support-how-to-synchronize-notes-info

P.S. We strongly recommend to protect your file with a password before uploading it to the cloud to avoid unauthorized data access.

Backup on a Cloud Drive
Can I use the backup on exit feature to backup the database to a cloud drive ?

Thanks
