Nearly everytime I paste rich text from a web page into a blank note, the not formatting looks noting like the original.

For example, if the original has one paragraph in blue text, the pasted note not only shows that paragraph in blue, but most tof the following text as well. This happens with bold and italics too. There can be one word italicized in the original, but in the pasted note, most all words following the italicized word are also italicized. It is as though the html slash code is completely ignored.

I see this also with imported Evernote files. The imported note is hugely different than the original.

Why is this? Am I doing something wrong with copy/paste?

I regularly have the same problem....:-(.... This is the most recent post regarding formatting, and it was posted two years ago with no replies. I have written Support a few times regarding serious formatting problems like the post above, but received no reply. Are most users not interested in Rich Text formatting, or is everyone else getting more successful copy-pastes?

I have version 2.85 build 593 Deluxe Edition. I would be happy to pay for upgrading if that would solve the problem, but as far as I can see, newer versions have not had changes in the area of formatting functions. I do not need more than what is available in the present toolbar--I just need the basic functions already there to work: font, alignment, color, bold/italic, font size, etc.

I have the latest version---2.85. Are you saying that the difference between build 593 and 594 will solve my formatting problems? I often find that newer versions of apps are good for newer operating systems, but I am staying with Windows 7.

If you are saying the newer build should help formatting issues on Win 7, is there a way to try it out or do I need to purchase to try out?

Are there any advantages/disadvantages to installed vs. portable versions?

Glad to find your reply--I am not getting notified of replies....

I have tried 3.14 and 3.15 to no avail--same formatting problems...:-(.... I just installed GAOTD's 3.16 and was all excited about it finally working--but I'm still getting the same severe formatting corruption....:-(.... I think I will take advantage of your GOATD special offer even though I don't really need the additional features--I just use your app so much and want to support you. How I WISH I could get the standard formatting to work in copy/pastes from the web.....

I will send you a screen capture via email as it is too large a file size to put here... Hope we can fix this--I spend a lot of time reformatting..!!!
